Michael Monteiro (born 2012) is a young waterman and one of Europe’s most exciting emerging talents in ocean sports.

Raised by the sea and inspired by his father, legendary waterman Mitu Monteiro, Michael has grown up immersed in a deep ocean culture that shapes everything he does. From an early age, surfing became his foundation, where he quickly stood out for his natural talent, dedication, and competitive drive.

Today, Michael is more than just a surfer. As a true waterman, he also embraces kitesurfing and foiling, expressing a natural connection to the ocean across multiple disciplines.

Having ridden Polen Surfboards for years throughout his progression, Michael now joins the team officially as part of the next generation of athletes pushing performance and style in the water.
