Bruno Amado, better known as “Bubas”, is a young and highly promising Portuguese surfer born on 14 June 2007 in Peniche, one of Portugal’s most iconic surf towns. He started surfing at just five years old, quickly developing a strong affinity with powerful waves like Supertubos, and has become known for his sharp rail work and ability to read the lineup.
Bubas competes in national junior championships and has represented Portugal in international junior events as part of the national surf team. He’s also been recognized by major surf brands, securing sponsorships with companies like PRIO and Polen Surfboards a testament to his potential and growing profile in the sport.
Though still early in his competitive career, his commitment to training, versatility across different Portuguese breaks, and support from the surf community mark him as one to watch on the rise in Portuguese surfing.
