Since 1979, Stretch has been creating distinctive and innovative custom boards for surfing, sailing, kiting and towing surfing.
Born in Malibu, California, he learned to build boards from his father Mike Riedel, a shaper for Velzy Jacobs Surfboards in the 1960s. His wealth of know-how and surfing skills eventually brought him to Santa Cruz where a life-changing windsurfing accident in 1988 left him with partial paralysis.
His enthusiasm for progressive surfing continues daily with technological advancements, team feedback and a passion for building the best board possible.

We build each individual board under one roof in the largest dedicated EPS/EPOXY surfboard factory in Northern California. Combine that with an incredibly talented team of riders, progressive designs and a premium California coastline and you get one of the best waves imaginable.
